No Mandy

Our dog’s name is Mandy. Tonight we discovered our 20 month old granddaughter thinks her name is “No-Mandy”, which tells us how often we have been saying that this past week. At least she doesn’t think my name is “No-Grandpa.”

But it did cause me to wonder if in heaven my name is “No-Roger.” How many times has God been watching us and has exclaimed, “No,” as we go about doing something foolish.

I wondered if our granddaughter ever thought the dog’s name was “good dog.” I do say that a lot to her. And I also hope God can look at us and say, “Good.” He did say that at the end of the days of creation. Most likely at Second Coming of our Lord Jesus we will hear “Good job” as rescues us from this world of pain and loss. Those would be great words to hear.

In Jesus’ parable of the master who left talents with his servants we do read these words, "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' Matt. 25:21 What great joy it will be to hear Him say those things about us.

I'm Roger Bothwell and my address is hrb1@tiac.net or 151 Old Farm Rd. Leominster, MA 01453. Thank you for your support of our faith ministry.
